“It’s Getting Near Christmas” is a 2012 release from Mick, yet it is a good one! With the festive season creeping up to us, this is track that will get you in that Christmas spirit.

From my first listen of this one, I must say I was ecstatic with it, and it definitely gets us in the festive mood. The track has a great swinging drum beat to it, that makes us want to get up and dance around with our friends and family.

Undoubtedly, Mick’s vocals are so pure and outstanding! His voice has such a soft yet joyful tone to it, which really enables us to feel his love for this time of year. The inclusion of back-up vocals allows harmonisations, and almost make it seem like a family have come together, singing along.

President Street – Tell Me Brother

President Street, a band from Melbourne, Australia, are an increasingly growing band. One interesting thing about President Street is that they do not stick to just one genre, as they have music from pop, soul to even drum ‘n’ bass. However, the members of the band have extremely diverse backgrounds, but their love for music glued them together. The band’s name “President Street” comes from a street that one the members used to live near in Perth, Australia.

Their latest release “Tell Me Brother” challenges the idea of masculinity and its meaning. The conversation of what a ‘man’ actually is, is key within this song, as they sing about strength, compassion and understanding. They reach out to eradicate the concept of violent and toxic masculinity and change this into men using their strength to help others.

The track is an upbeat, groovy one, that lifts us up. “Tell Me Brother” is almost a contagious song, filled with positivity. The groovy beat and bassline are catchy and memorable, leaving us with a dance-like feeling. The song is funkier compared the President Street’s usual style, but they have done exceptionally well with it! The upbeat melodies, meaningful lyrics and outstanding vocals have all truly created a masterpiece.

Go give a listen to the President Street’s newest track, and I am certain you will love it just as much as I do!

K I T – When We Say Goodbye

The Liverpool-originated artist K I T, is making his way through the charts, captivating more and more people to his music.

His new release “When We Say Goodbye” is an indie-rock, pop inspired track, with lots of warmth. The track is memorable and includes the use of acoustics and beautiful melodies.

The song has a soft and comforting texture to it, drawing us into the song with a feeling of consolation. The music is so incredible and pure in this track, and I love the rock influences that “When We Say Goodbye” possesses.

Without a doubt, the vocalism of K I T, is absolutely amazing! His voice is not autotuned and he sings with such rawness and emotion. His singing reminds me of artists such as Ed Sheeran and he honestly has so much potential in his voice.

I cannot recommend K I T and his new song “When We Say Goodbye” enough, so please go and give this track a listen to. You can find it on platforms such as Spotify!

IRYS – Borderline

IRYS is a singer-songwriter from Berlin, who creates music of a dark-pop sound. IRYS has taken inspiration from artists such as Lana Del Ray and Billie Eilish and has created a sound of such darkness yet attentiveness.

IRYS experiments with different sounds, ending in a gloomy and haunting atmosphere being present in her sound. Her voice is undoubtedly a perfect match for this song as she has that edgy tone that just engrosses us from the beginning of the song. IRYS voice is something I could listen to on repeat all day and still not get bored, as she is just phenomenal.

The production of the song incorporates a number of unusual, atmospheric, and murky sounds, which add to the element of it being a dark-pop song. The track is almost hypnotic and mesmerising, which leaves us begging to hear more of what IRYS has in store for us!

Please give “Borderline” a listen to, especially if you are a sucker for dark and melancholic songs, and you should love IRYS!

Bonze – Mercedes

When I first heard the newest release “Mercedes” by Bonze, I was immediatelycaptivated by the song. “Mercedes” is a hip-hop and electronic-pop inspired track, dominated by amazing male vocals!

To kick this off, the beats and basslines in this track are incredible as they are the kind that just make us bop our head as they are so catchy. Bonze includes more unusual electronic beats within the track that almost make us feel hypnotic. I must say, this is the type of song that I could easily listen to repeat all day, as it is just that good!

The vocals in “Mercedes” are fairly repetitive, yet they have such significance in the song, as the distorted voice blends well with the hypnotic side of the music. I, personally, love this type of music, and this will undoubtedly be one I add to my own playlist, as I just have not been able to get it out of my head all day!

Go check out Bonze’s newest hit and no matter what, you are going to adore this track!

Hafto – The Soul Pt 1

Hafto, a musician from Dallas, uses his passion for music as a means of escape and a way out of dealing with reality. His passion of music stems from a talent of writing poetry, and he uses this to create deep and meaningful lyrics within his songs. He also takes heavy inspiration from other rap artists such as Kanye West and The Weeknd.

“The Soul Pt 1” is Hafto’s most recent single, and it is undoubtedly a great one! Although it is a laidback, chilled song, the whole production is amazing and definitely worth listening to.

Hafto’s introduces us to piano keys and a soft vocal melody. This then progresses as a backbeat is added, giving the song that rap feeling to it. Hafto’s vocals are incredible, and his voice is accompanied by backing vocals to harmonize with him throughout the duration of the track. His rapping is so unique and has such purpose, that it makes us enjoy it even more.

I am honestly so intrigued to listen to some other tracks of Hafto’s, as my first impressions on him are out of this world! If you are a sucker for laidback, meaningful tracks, then do give “The Soul Pt 1” a listen to.

TriPed – When U Were Mine

TriPed is a growing, independent artist, originating in London, UK. Throughout the last couple of years TriPed has released numerous singles, but I think his most recent one “When U Were Mine” is the best yet! His music takes inspiration from not only pop, but also R&B and dance.

“When U Were Mine” is a very 80s style disco and pop track. The song remains upbeat and catchy and is one of those songs that you will end up playing on repeat all day! The song welcomes us with a soft piano solo, which suddenly bursts into a bouncy and cheery beat with vocals. I personally love the musical beat in “When U Were Mine,” as it is slightly different to other hits that I enjoy, yet it is much more intriguing.

The vocals are just as great as the musical side, and they both work together exceptionally well! His distinctive vocals are kept low enough to ensure he does not overpower the thriving beat of the song.

After hearing TriPed’s track, I will definitely be keeping an eye out for other music of his. If you are fan of disco/pop, then I am certain you will love this song too!

Eric Cohen – A.M.E.N

Eric Cohen, who is from Missouri, US, takes inspiration from his own life experiences and uses them to deliver a message of hope and peace. Eric has had a difficult upbringing, where he has dealt with poverty, addiction, and despair. After a tough time, he found that poetry and music was the light at the end of the tunnel for him. From this point on, music has helped him pave his way through life, whilst in the eyes of God.

“A.M.E.N” contains the elements of a classic hip-hop hit. The beat and booming bassline give the song a feeling of power and it captivates us with it’s catchiness. The unusual keys give the track a sense of unfamiliarity that we want to explore.

I must say Eric’s vocals are great, he really shares his talent through his rap and singing. His rap flows well throughout the song, and honestly cannot be faulted in anyway.

The lyrics are dedicated to God and are very meaningful to him and his faith.

Eric’s hit is available across many streaming websites, and you should definitely give his music a listen to, especially if you ever find yourself in the same place as Eric was!

Bloodlin3 – Execution Day

Bloodlin3 are a Texas based musical group, who are experimenting with rap and other genres of music. Bloodlin3 takes inspiration from artists like Eminem and are honestly smashing it!

“Execution Day,” released on 30/09/2022, is a hard trap song that Bloodlin3 teamed up with Bizzy Bone and AC Killer to create.

This kind of rap/hip-hop is not generally my cup of tea, but once I had one listen to Bloodlin3’s track, I was addicted!

Without a doubt, the rapping in this is absolutely incredible, and they all perform it so effortlessly. Rapping itself is very difficult compared to normal singing, as it includes more breath control, but these guys have hit the nail on the head with it!

The backbeat in this is kept to a minimum, leaving the vocals to be the spotlight of the song, yet it is still effective. The beat is catchy and is the kind that gets you bopping your head to.

If rap style songs are your area of expertise, then undoubtedly you should give “Execution Day” a listen to, and I know you will love it for sure!

Bloodlin3 – Panic Attack

After previously hearing other work of Bloodlin3, when I stumbled across “Panic Attack” I was thrilled to hear more of them! Bloodlin3 are a musical group, that are situated in Texas, who heavily focus their music on rap and hip-hop.

Bloodlin3’s most recent hit is here and this time they have collaborated with Young Collage to produce this piece. The song begins with a spoken word introduction about the artists, which straight away builds up excitement for the rest of the song.

“Panic Attack” is another one of those insanely captivating and catchy tracks, with a great beat. The beat is very laidback in comparison to the vocals, as they rap extremely well, really sharing their talents.

The two rap stars collaborate and blend their personal styles together exceptionally well, and I honestly cannot find a single fault in their work.

Without a doubt, Bloodlin3’s new release is their best track yet, and I am so excited to hear what other rap tracks they have in store for us!

If you are in the mood for a relaxed yet outstanding song, then go ahead and give “Panic Attack” a listen to!
