Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?

ElKremso consists of three members (Mike Kremser, ElKike and Mario Cortes) who meta couple of years ago at university in Germany. Two years ago we formed the Band ElKremso. Since we did not simply want to cover songs we started to write our own songs. The first result of this was the song ‘Love Doctor’ which was released end of 2022.

Are you all from the same area? How did you get together as a band?

We are at least all from Germany and met at university.

Who are your favourite artists/bands and how have they influenced your own sound?

Oh there are many but in general I would say:

• Metallica
• Iron Maiden
• AC/DC
• Mötley Crüe
• Linkin Park
• Limp Bizkit
• Böhse Onkelz

Did you always have the ambition to be a musician and in a band or did you originally have other plans?

Well, since we all started to play instruments we wanted to form a band. But before than we studied and applied for normal jobs.

ElKremso – Sugar Mama 😉

Do you sing in the shower?

No 😀

Do you have any plans for the band for this year and into next year?

Sure, we want to bring out more songs and play some concerts in the coming years – once we have more own songs.

Do you currently have any new songs/albums ready to be released?

Yes, we are in the studio with some songs – next release will be Magic Potion coming end of October 2023.

If you could play at any venue in the world where would you choose?

Rock in Rio

Do you have a favourite album? If so, what is it?

Uff, maybe Powerslave by Iron Maiden or Master of Puppets by Metallica. But there are so many good bands and albums.

Do you have any guilty pleasure songs/albums?

No

If you were putting together the greatest show on earth, who would be playing?

All of our favourite bands of course (Metallica, Iron Maiden etc.) and us 😉

Can you remember the first album you bought with your own money? What was it and do you still have it?

Rammstein – Sehnsucht. Still have it on Spotify at least.
